LeBron James rules himself out of contention for 2028 LA Olympics; Steph Curry 'highly' doubts he will play

LeBron James said this week he's out, while Stephen Curry "highly" doubts he will be playing for the U.S. men's national team at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

During the second episode of the "Mind the Game" podcast, James and Curry were asked by co-host Steve Nash whether they were interested in going for another gold medal in three years' time.

"You already know my answer," James responded. "I will be watching it from Cabo."

"God willing I still have the choice and the physical option where I could actually impact the team," Curry said. "Never say never, but I highly doubt it. Highly doubt it."

James will be 43 and Curry 40 when the LA Olympics begin.

"We can't top what we just did. How we gonna top those last two games?" James said.
