Snoop Dogg has partnered with GLAAD to release an inclusive children's single title "Love Is Love"
The move comes after the rapper faced backlash for calling out a same-sex scene in Disney and Pixar's Lightyear that left his grandson asking questions
"I think these kids are being loved by these great parents [who] are showing them an example of what family is," Snoop said while announcing the new song Thursday, Oct. 16
Snoop Dogg is educating himself and his audience on same-sex relationships following backlash he faced from previous comments about two women kissing in Disney and Pixar's Lightyear.
The 53-year-old "Drop It Like It's Hot" rapper teamed up with GLAAD [Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation] for its annual Spirit Day to announce his latest single, an inclusive kids' song titled "Love Is Love."
In a Thursday, Oct. 16 conversation shared to his YouTube channel, Snoop spoke to The Voice alum Jeremy Beloate (an openly queer artist who just released a song on the rapper's Death Row Records music label) about why the single is important.

Beloate competed on the NBC series during Snoop's time as a judge.
"It's a beautiful thing that kids can have parents of all walks [of life], and be able to be shown love, and be able to be taught what love is," the Doggyland creator said of his all-new campaign.
Snoop went on to say that "hate is taught and so is love."
He continued to celebrate diversity, adding that "whether it's two fathers, two mothers, whatever it is, love is the key."
"I think these kids are being loved by these great parents [who] are showing them an example of what family is," Snoop said, adding, "So, I wanna give a shoutout to all of the parents out there for doing such a great job with these kids."
The Grammy nominee explained that he has "the opportunity to teach these kids through my music," which is why he agreed to the partnership with GLAAD.
Snoop Dogg came under fire after an August episode of the It's Giving podcast in which he criticized 2022's Lightyear for showing two women kissing (and later welcoming a baby son) — a move the rapper said left his grandchild with questions he couldn't answer about the Toy Story spin-off.
While discussing the children's animated film on the podcast on Aug. 20, the "Sensual Seduction" artist, who is a grandfather to seven grandchildren, said one of his grandsons asked him "in the middle of the movie" as they were at the theater, "''Papa Snoop? How she have a baby with a woman? She a woman!' "

Snoop said he thought to himself, "I didn't come here for this s---. I just came to watch the goddamn movie."
Instead of explaining the scene, the "Gin and Juice" hitmaker replied, "Hey man, watch the movie."
Still, the questions from his grandkid persisted, with the little boy asking how two women were able to have a baby.

"It's like, I'm scared to go to the movies now. Y'all throwing me in the middle of s--- that I don't have an answer for," Snoop said at the time, adding that both the scene and his grandson's questions "threw me for a loop."
"I'm like, 'What part of the movie was this?' These are kids. We have to show that at this age? They're going to ask questions. … I don't have the answer."
