On Aug. 11, the royal family's official Instagram account posted a carousel featuring fun facts about the Princess Royal along with photos from throughout her life. Although Princess Anne won't turn 75 until Friday, Aug. 15, the royal family is likely marking the occasion early to avoid crossover with the 80th anniversary of VJ Day, when Allied forces declared victory over Japan, officially ending World War II, in 1945.

Courtiers captioned the post, "As we celebrate The Princess Royal turning 75 this week, swipe to find out more about the life and work of Her Royal Highness."

The montage opened with a glamorous portrait of Princess Anne, released for her 70th birthday in 2020, and rolled to show pictures accompanied by facts about her.

The post highlighted snippets including how Anne is the second child and only daughter of the late Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, insight into her Princess Royal title, her history of royal work and unwavering commitment to duty.

"Known for having one of the busiest working schedules of any member of the Royal Family, The Princess has established significant and ongoing relationships with numerous charities and organizations across the Commonwealth," one slide said, over a throwback photo of Princess Anne in uniform and holding the reins of a horse.

King Charles' younger sister has been considered the "hardest-working" member of the British family by count of official engagements recorded in The Court Circular for the last four years, conducting hundreds of outings annually on behalf of the crown.

Princess Anne retained the royal honor in 2024 even though she sustained a concussion and minor injuries that June in a horse-related "incident" at her Gatcombe Park home, for which she was briefly hospitalized and subsequently sidelined from work for a few weeks.

The royal family's celebration of Princess Anne also included her new tiara portrait with her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence, and a childhood picture of her kids, Peter Phillips and Zara Tindall.

The Princess Royal shares Peter, 47, and Zara, 44, with her first husband, Captain Mark Phillips. The former couple divorced in April 1992, and Anne married Tim, who was then an equerry to her mother the Queen, later that year.
