After 12 years as the head of the Catholic Church, Pope Francis died on April 21. He was 88. The Argentine native, who was known for his humility as well as his progressive approach to the papacy, recently faced several health issues, including a 38-day stay at Agostino Gemelli Polyclinic Hospital in Rome, where he entered due to bronchitis and later developed double pneumonia. He was discharged on March 23.
