
Kylie Minogue and Troye Sivan win big at 2025 APRA Music Awards but don't show up - with both pop stars' relatives collecting their gongs
The cream of the Aussie pop crop were big winners at the 2025 APRA Music Awards in Melbourne on Wednesday night. But the biggest names who landed gongs at the event didn't show up to claim them. The prestigious Ted Albert Award for Outstanding Services to Australian Music went to Kylie Minogue. It was collected by her nephew, Charlie Minogue, while Kylie appeared via a video link. The Queen of Pop is currently in California for the last US date of her Tension tour on Friday, ahead of a series of sold-out dates in the UK.
