An outbreak of anthrax has killed at least 50 cattle and one moose in Wyoming, according to the state's veterinarian. The Wyoming State Veterinary Laboratory confirmed that cattle from multiple herds around Elk Mountain in Carbon County tested positive for the disease in an August 31 report. On September 3, the Wyoming Game and Fish Department confirmed a case of anthrax in a dead moose nearby the cattle.
