When Lynne Marie Stewart visited Paul Reubens in the hospital before his death in 2023, she found her former costar and longtime friend in good spirits. The actress, 77, who appeared on Pee-wee's Playhouse and in films like Pee-wee's Big Holiday, told PEOPLE at a Pee-wee Herman tribute event on July 22, just eight days before the one-year anniversary of Reubens' death, that Reubens had shared his feelings with her on his life and career.
