A SHOPPER has revealed how useless they assume receipt checks at a look may be at one common nationwide store.
Many shoppers across the country have complained about receipt checking at shops like Costco and Walmart in recent times as the retailers have increased the follow to fight theft.
But one shopper lately shared how ridiculous she sees the strategy and why it won't reduce down on crime.
"What's sort of dumb about Costco is they don't even actually look," JoanneMW (@JoanneW2767) wrote in a post on X, the platform previously often known as Twitter.
"They look at the cart, put a line on the receipt and that's it," she stated.
In contrast to some consumers who've complained that receipt checking wastes their time or makes them feel like criminals, JoanneMW stated she thought the whole performance was ineffective for the store too.
"Not likely positive what the point is… I might have stuff in my purse for all they know," she wrote.
