A BRITISH man has died after being electrocuted whereas finishing up work on a yacht in Antigua.

Temme, who was serving as the Chief Engineer on board the vessel, was confronted with an influence outage whereas the yacht was anchored off the Caribbean island.

In an try and resolve the difficulty, he ventured into the engine area.

But he was later discovered unresponsive by a crew member who went to verify on him.

Police and paramedics have been referred to as to the vessel at 8.30am native time on Friday.

Regardless of their greatest efforts, he was pronounced lifeless on arrival on the hospital.

A spokesman for the Royal Antigua Police Drive stated: "A UK nationwide was helped to the primary deck, whereas the Antigua and Barbuda Search and Rescue-ABSAR was referred to as to the scene.&

"He was transported to the hospital the place a physician pronounced him lifeless around 10:19 am."

An area Port official stated officers have been referred to as to reviews "of concern for the welfare of a man on board a boat in English Harbour".

The official added: "Fast Motion was wanted after establishing that he didn't look nicely.

"The paramedics arrived and did their greatest but sadly he died. He was in his 40s."

The Baton Rouge yacht had been within the& harbour since late January.&

Authorities are conducting further investigations into Temme's dying.

A spokesman from the port authority stated: "We will probably be making initial enquiries and might be liaising with the authorities to ensure it is an accident as has been thought.

"We can't say too much extra at this stage until we full our investigation."
