Contestants are not afraid to lock lips and test their relationships on "Love Island USA" Season 7.

After returning to the villa, islanders are living in the aftermath of the drama-inducing Casa Amor. Four bombshells packed their bags, and the remaining islanders continue to navigate their connections, both old and new.

In the latest episode, the group held nothing back during a staple challenge of the series.

Throughout the season, USA TODAY will keep fans on all the tea inside the Fijian villa. Here's a recap of some highlights from the last few episodes and a list of all the islanders who have entered the villa for "Love Island USA" Season 7 so far, including those who debuted since last week's update.

'Love Island USA': People can't stop talking about Huda. Will we ever learn our lesson?

Is 'NicOlandria' solid?

Olandria Carthen, Nicolas "Nic" Vansteenberghe

Islanders Olandria and Nic were paired after being dumped in Episode 20. Neither of them were selected to recouple with a new Casa Amor bombshell.

However, in another twist, Olandria and Nic were picked up in a G-wagon and taken to a secret garden in Episode 21. Faced with the option to join forces and couple up or officially leave the show, they decided to couple up and were able to return to the main villa.

At one point in the villa − while Olandria was still trying to keep Taylor from turning his head and while Nic was thinking about Cierra − the two decided to explore whether there was a romantic connection.

"I think there's a strong physical connection between Olandria and I," Nic said in his confessional. "She's one of the most attractive women I've ever seen in my lifetime."

They eventually share a passionate kiss in Soul Ties, but later mutually agree in Episode 22 that they are just friends.

JD calls Huda 'dominant'

JD and Huda's connection crumbled in Episode 22 after he confronted her about her approach to the "Kiss-Off" challenge.

"I can tell you like being dominant," JD told Huda while smiling.

"I had to lead your (expletive) to help you," she responded.

"You was trying to be dominant and I'm not someone who likes to be dominated. It was like combative," JD continued.

"So find someone submissive," Huda responded, adding, "Sure. Okay, good talk."

The clip of the interaction went viral on social media. Huda has been at the center of other popular moments from the season, including her clash with her former partner Jeremiah and her "I'm a mommy" conversation with Nic.

Which Casa Amor arrivals were dumped from the island?

Iran-linked hackers threaten to release Trump aides' emails

Raphael SatterJune 30, 2025 at 6:10 PM

By Raphael Satter

WASHINGTON (Reuters) -Iran-linked hackers have threatened to disclose more emails stolen from U.S. President Donald Trump's circle, after distributing a prior batch to the media ahead of the 2024 U.S. election.

In online chats with Reuters on Sunday and Monday, the hackers, who go by the pseudonym Robert, said they had roughly 100 gigabytes of emails from the accounts of White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, Trump lawyer Lindsey Halligan, Trump adviser Roger Stone and porn star-turned-Trump antagonist Stormy Daniels.

Robert raised the possibility of selling the material but otherwise did not provide details of their plans. The hackers did not describe the content of the emails.

Halligan, Stone, a representative for Daniels and the U.S. cyberdefense agency CISA did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

The White House and the FBI responded with a statement from FBI Director Kash Patel, who said: "Anyone associated with any kind of breach of national security will be fully investigated and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law."

Iran's mission to the United Nations did not immediately return a message seeking comment. Tehran has in the past denied committing cyberespionage.

Robert materialized in the final months of the 2024 presidential campaign, when they claimed to have breached the email accounts of several Trump allies, including Wiles.

The hackers then distributed emails to journalists. Reuters previously authenticated some of the leaked material, including an email that appeared to document a financial arrangement between Trump and lawyers representing former presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. - now Trump's health secretary. Other material included Trump campaign communication about Republican office-seekers and discussion of settlement negotiations with Daniels.

Although the leaked documents did garner some coverage last year, they did not fundamentally alter the presidential race, which Trump won.

The U.S. Justice Department in a September 2024 indictment alleged that Iran's Revolutionary Guards ran the Robert hacking operation. In conversations with Reuters, the hackers declined to address the allegation.

After Trump's election, Robert told Reuters that no more leaks were planned. As recently as May, the hackers told Reuters, "I am retired, man."

But the group resumed communication after this month's 12-day air war between Israel and Iran, which was capped by U.S. bombing of Iran's nuclear sites.

In messages this week, Robert said they were organizing a sale of stolen emails and wanted Reuters to "broadcast this matter."

American Enterprise Institute scholar Frederick Kagan, who has written about Iranian cyberespionage, said Tehran suffered serious damage in the conflict and its spies were likely trying to retaliate in ways that did not draw more U.S. or Israeli action.

"A default explanation is that everyone's been ordered to use all the asymmetric stuff that they can that's not likely to trigger a resumption of major Israeli/U.S. military activity," he said. "Leaking a bunch more emails is not likely to do that."

Despite worries that Tehran could unleash digital havoc, Iran's hackers took a low profile during the conflict. U.S. cyber officials warned on Monday that American companies and critical infrastructure operators might still be in Tehran's crosshairs.

Suspect in deadly Idaho firefighters ambush identified, motive a mystery

 • Suspect in deadly Idaho firefighters ambush identified, motive a mystery

Brad Brooks and Steve GormanJune 30, 2025 at 7:07 PM

By Brad Brooks and Steve Gorman

(Reuters) -The man who shot dead two firefighters and wounded a third after setting a blaze near a popular mountainside trail in Idaho was described by authorities on Monday as a young transient whose motives remained a mystery a day after the attack.

Kootenai County Sheriff Bob Norris identified the suspected gunman in Sunday's attack as Wess Roley, 20, who was found dead at the scene of an apparent self-inflicted gun wound.

Authorities have not identified the two firefighters who were shot and killed, nor have they given the name of a third firefighter who was shot and survived.

Roley had some sort of interaction with the firefighters he shot and killed when they arrived on the scene of the fire, Norris said, though he provided no details on what occurred. The suspect was known to have expressed interest in becoming a firefighter himself, the sheriff said.

Norris said that Roley, who was born in California, had been living for the past year in Coeur d'Alene, about 260 miles (420 km) east of Seattle, where the shooting took place at Canfield Mountain, a nature area popular with hikers and bikers. Over 300 law enforcement officers responded to the scene on Sunday. Early reports indicated there were multiple shooters attacking firefighters.

But Norris on Monday said it appeared that Roley acted alone and that he had no known connection to any sort of group that may have motivated the violence.

The sheriff said that Roley had no known criminal record. Local police had five recent minor and non-violent interactions with Roley, who appeared to be living out of his vehicle and whom officers during those interactions had told to move from spots where he was parked and residing.

On Sunday, Norris said they believed Roley was armed with at least one rifle. But on Monday he said that the weapon recovered near Roley's body at the crime scene was a shotgun.

"We know that some rifled slugs were used, and a rifled slug is a pretty big projectile," Norris said, adding that investigators were still trying to determine if other weapons were involved.

When firefighters responded to the blaze on Sunday afternoon, they came under fire almost immediately, Norris said. When police officers and sheriff's deputies arrived later, they, too, came under fire from trees that Roley had apparently climbed and shot from.

Scores of officers from the city, county, state and federal level responded, including two helicopters with snipers aboard. The suspect was located using cellphone information and his body was removed by a SWAT team as the fire approached.

Gun ownership is widespread in the U.S., where the Constitution protects the rights of Americans to "keep and bear arms."

Deaths related to gun violence are common - 17,927 people were murdered with a gun in 2023 in the U.S., according to the most recent available data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Judge again delays Abrego Garcia's release from Tennessee jail over deportation concerns

Brianna O'Keefe yells as she holds a portrait of Kilmar Obrego Garcia during a protest outside the federal courthouse Wednesday, June 25, 2025, in Nashville, Tenn. (AP Photo/George Walker IV)

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Kilmar Abrego Garcia will stay in jail for now over concerns from his lawyers that he could be deported if he's released to await his trial on human smuggling charges, a federal judge in Tennessee ruled Monday.

Abrego Garcia's attorneys had asked the judge to delay his release because of what they described as "contradictory statements" by President Donald Trump's administration over what would happen to the Salvadoran national. The lawyers wrote in a brief to the court Friday that "we cannot put any faith in any representation made on this issue" by the Justice Department, adding that the "irony of this request is not lost on anyone."

Justice Department spokesman Chad Gilmartin told The on Thursday that the department intends to try Abrego Garcia on the smuggling charges before it moves to deport him, stating that Abrego Garcia "has been charged with horrific crimes."

Hours earlier, Justice Department attorney Jonathan Guynn told a federal judge in Maryland that the U.S. government plans to deport Abrego Garcia to a "third country" that isn't El Salvador. Guynn said there was no timeline for the deportation plans.

Abrego Garcia's attorneys on Friday cited Guynn's comments as a reason to fear he would be deported "immediately."

Abrego Garcia, a construction worker who had been living in Maryland, became a flashpoint over Trump's hardline immigration policies when he was mistakenly deported to his native El Salvador in March. Facing mounting pressure and a Supreme Court order, Trump's Republican administration returned him this month to face the smuggling charges, which his attorneys have called "preposterous."

Abrego Garcia's attorneys have accused the Trump administration of bringing Abrego Garcia back "to convict him in the court of public opinion" with the intention of deporting him before he has a chance to defend himself at trial.

"In a just world, he would not seek to prolong his detention further," his attorneys wrote Friday.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Barbara Holmes in Nashville ruled June 22 that federal prosecutors failed to show that Abrego Garcia was a flight risk or a danger to the community.

During a court hearing June 25, Holmes set specific conditions for Abrego Garcia's release that included him living with his brother, a U.S. citizen, in Maryland. But she held off on releasing him over concerns that prosecutors can't prevent ICE from deporting him.

Acting U.S. Attorney Rob McGuire told the judge he lacks jurisdiction over U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, stating he has no way to prevent Abrego Garcia's deportation.

Abrego Garcia's attorneys have asked the judge to delay his release until a July 16 court hearing, which will consider a request by prosecutors to revoke Abrego Garcia's release order while he awaits trial. Abrego Garcia pleaded not guilty on June 13 to smuggling charges.

The Department of Homeland Security, which includes ICE, did not respond directly to a question from The on Friday regarding its plans for Abrego Garcia. A DHS spokesperson, Tricia McLaughlin, said in a statement that "he will never go free on American soil."

When the Trump administration deported Abrego Garcia in March, it violated a U.S. immigration judge's order in 2019 that barred his expulsion to his native country. The immigration judge had found that Abrego Garcia faced a credible threat from gangs that had terrorized him and his family.

The human smuggling charges pending against Abrego Garcia stem from a 2022 traffic stop for speeding in Tennessee, during which Abrego Garcia was driving a vehicle with nine passengers without luggage.

___

Finley reported from Norfolk, Virginia.

 • Need a book? 15 new releases to read right now, from romance to memoir

Clare Mulroy, USA TODAYJune 30, 2025 at 6:20 PM

What's in your tote bag this summer?

Got your sunscreen? Sunglasses? Water bottle? Those may be warm-weather essentials, but what we really care about is what books you're packing.

If you're looking for a new title from your local bookstore or library, you're in luck – we've got recommendations for every type of reader. Check out our guides to the best new thrillers and celebrity memoirs to binge, or pick a romance from our recent roundup. There are also plenty of new LGBTQ+ books to continue Pride Month celebrations all year long. For parents, check out some of the best books to keep kids engaged this summer.

What to read next: 15 new releases to check out now

From found family stories to "Love Island"-esque dystopian novels, juicy memoirs to snail-hunting adventures, here are 15 new books from June we recommend checking out.

'The Girls Who Grew Big' by Leila Mottley

"The Girls Who Grew Big" by Leila Mottley

A group of outcast teen mothers in the Florida panhandle fiercely protect each other and their children, despite judgmental eyes, in this brilliant novel. "Girls" follows three young women straddling girlhood and motherhood: 16-year-old swim prodigy Adela, who has been banished from Indiana to live out her pregnancy at her grandmother's home; Emory, determined to graduate by bringing her newborn to high school; and Simone, the group's leader.

'A Language of Limbs' by Dylin Hardcastle

"A Language of Limbs" by Dylin Hardcastle

A wholly original novel akin to Sylvia Plath's "fig tree" analogy, "A Language of Limbs" alternates narratives based on two different outcomes of one summer night in 1972. In one, a teenage girl caught kissing her neighbor is brutally shunned by her family. She finds solace in a queer community home. In the other, a teenage girl suppresses her feelings for her best friend and studies literature at a university. In the end, the two timelines collide. "A Language of Limbs" is heartbreaking and poignant, not to be forgotten.

'Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil' by V.E. Schwab

"Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil" by V.E. Schwab

"The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue" author Schwab declares it "toxic lesbian vampire summer" in this new novel. Blending fantasy, historical fiction and romance, "Bones" follows three vampires, one in 16th-century Spain, one in London in the 1800s and another in Boston, circa 2019. It's a toxic love triangle, a cautionary tale of vengeful exes and a thrilling, genre-defying ode to queerness.

'How to Lose Your Mother' by Molly Jong-Fast

"How to Lose Your Mother" by Molly Jong-Fast

"How to Lose Your Mother" is Jong-Fast's intimate and honest memoir of her life as the only child of the famous feminist writer Erica Jong. In it, Jong-Fast brings readers into a transformative year grappling with her husband's rare cancer diagnosis and mother's spiraling dementia. Especially in audiobook form, "How to Lose Your Mother" feels like a confessional from a friend, a masterful meditation on narcissistic parents, fame, sobriety, legacy and aging.

'Don't Let Him In' by Lisa Jewell

"Don't Let Him In" by Lisa Jewell

Several women collide over one shady man in "Don't Let Him In," a quintessentially Jewell thriller through and through.
Spider-Man Character Horoscopes

The cosmos is tingling.

In celebration of Spider-Man 2's 10th anniversary on June 30, celebrity astrologer Kyle Thomas shared with PEOPLE exclusive readings that align each zodiac sign to a notable character from the iconic superhero comic turned film.

Since the original Spider-Man movie premiered in 2002 with Tobey Maguire in the titular role, the franchise has expanded into a successful web of sequels, spinoffs and countless other interpretations revolving around the friendly-neighborhood hero.

Various other actors have slipped on the spidey suit in Maguire's web-slinging wake, including Andrew Garfield in 2012's The Amazing Spider-Man opposite Emma Stone's Gwen Stacy and Tom Holland in 2017's Spider-Man: Homecoming alongside Zendaya's Michelle "MJ" Jones-Watson.

Not to mention, the plethora of infamous villains and beloved supporting characters that've shaped the storylines within the franchise, between the Green Goblin (played by Willem Dafoe, James Franco and Dane DeHaan) and Aunt May (played by Rosemary Harris, Sally Field and Marisa Tomei).

Now, read on to find out which Spider-Man character you are based on your zodiac sign, according to Kyle Thomas.

Aries: The Green Goblin

Moviestore/Shutterstock

Willem Dafoe as the Green Goblin

Norman Osborn, also known as the Green Goblin, aligns with Aries. As a cardinal Fire sign ruled by the planet Mars, this zodiac sign can be "opinionated" yet "powerful leaders" who are willing to fight for their beliefs.

"Similar to the villainous character, Aries are unafraid to take control and go to battle in an effort to strike fear in the hearts of their opponents," Thomas points out, noting that they will "stop at nothing" until they're victorious. "They also hunger for power and can be ruthless if necessary."

Taurus: Peter Parker (Tobey Macguire)

Columbia/Courtesy Everett Collection Tobey Maguire as Spider-Man

Peter Parker, played by Tobey Maguire in 2002's Spider-Man films, aligns with Taurus. The Earth sign possesses many of the same characteristics as the titular character's alter ego.

"Macguire's Peter Parker had a softer, more grounded and practical approach to being a hero in comparison to some of his later incarnations," says Thomas. "He values tradition, also showing the greatest levels of loyalty and maturity between the Sony and MCU franchises."

Gemini: Peter Parker (Tom Holland)

Chuck Zlotnick/Columbia/Kobal/Shutterstock

Tom Holland in 'Spider-Man: Homecoming'.

Tom Holland's Peter Parker, seen in Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios' collaborative film series, aligns with Gemini. "Quippy, silly and always out for adventure" are a few personality traits shared between the Air sign and character, per Thomas.

"He's always ready to embrace his innate innocence and sense of humor," he adds of Holland's portrayal. "He also takes great pride in his connection with brilliant genius Tony Stark (Iron Man), who becomes his mentor and father figure."

Cancer: Aunt May

Marvel/Sony Pictures/Kobal/Shutterstock Rosemary Harris as Aunt May in "Spider-Man 3"

Aunt May, who was the aunt of Peter Parker and the widow of the late Ben Parker, aligns with Cancers. This Water sign is considered the "matriarch" of the zodiac, ruling "domesticity and motherhood," says Thomas.

"They are especially sensitive, caring and loyal in love," he continues of Cancers, adding of the beloved character, "Aunt May brings a necessary nurturing touch."

Leo: Harry Osborn

James Franco as Harry Osborn in "Spider-Man"

Harry Osborn, best friend of Peter Parker and former head of Oscorp, aligns with Leo. Ruled by the sun, this zodiac sign is known to be "bold, fiery — and at times, entitled and arrogant," per Thomas.

"Both versions of Harry Osborn crave validation, power and attention," he says, adding, "But he'll also go to desperate measures to get it when they feel pushed aside. Like a Leo, he's ferocious when scorned."

Virgo: Ned Leeds

J Maidment/Columbia/Marvel/Kobal/Shutterstock

Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds in "Spider-Man: Far from Home"

Ned Leeds, reporter for the Daily Bugle and husband of Betty Brant, aligns with Virgo. He embodies this zodiac sign because he's a "practical, funny and open-minded" person who brings a "much-needed, grounded approach" to the scene.

"While Virgos tend to be more centered than others, they also have a curiosity about the mysteries of life and the meaning of connection," Thomas points out. "They are loyal, hardworking and will go to bat for those they feel have earned their trust, like Ned, who is always willing to lend a hand."

Libra: Mary Jane Watson

Globe Photos/ZUMAPRESS.com

Kirsten Dunst as Mary Jane Watson in "Spider-Man 2"

Mary Jane Watson, specifically Kirsten Dunst's portrayal in the original Spider-Man series, aligns with Libra. "She embodies grace, romance and love," says Thomas, characteristics possessed by the zodiac sign.

"While she finds herself enamored with the mystery of Spider-Man, she finds that her heart truly belongs to the soul of Peter Parker and is destined to be his wife," he adds.

Scorpio: Venom/Eddie Brock and Felicia Hardy/Black Cat

Columbia Pictures/Marvel Entertainment; Marvel Films Animation

Scorpio aligns with two characters in the Spider-Man franchise, according to Thomas' readings. They are Eddie Brock (also known as the former villain-turned-anti-hero Venom) and Felicia Hardy (also known by her alter ego, Black Cat).

Astrologically, this zodiac sign is "intense, hypnotic, mysterious, passionate and brooding," he points out, noting that they'll use "all of their many skills and deception to enact their will." He explains, "This is due to them being a seductive and elusive Water sign ruled by the planets Mars and Pluto."

"Eddie and his alter-ego Venom are Peter Parker's vengeful archenemies, eager to stop at nothing to destroy him due to his innate anger and jealousy," Thomas says. "And while Felicia's Black Cat hasn't fully made her MCU debut, she, too, embodies the mystique of this zodiac sign."

Sagittarius: Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield)

Moviestore/Shutterstock

Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man in "The Amazing Spider-Man"

Peter Parker, specifically Andrew Garfield's portrayal in The Amazing Spider-Man series, aligns with Sagittarius. "Humorous, quick-witted and always ready for a quip," Thomas says of the joint characteristics shared between the character and the zodiac sign.

"Garfield's version of the titular hero is a fan-favorite because of his often silly personality, similar to the comics," Thomas explains. "Spider-Man takes joy in his work, even if that means webbing up his enemies or spinning sweet messages for his love, Gwen Stacy."

Capricorn: Uncle Ben

Columbia Pictures/courtesy Everett

Cliff Robertson as Uncle Ben in 2002's "Spider-Man"

Uncle Ben, the husband of May Parker and the paternal uncle and father figure of Peter Parker, aligns with Capricorn. "This zodiac sign, astrologically, represents the father or authority figure," says Thomas.

"In the original Spider-Man trilogy, in addition to the comics, Uncle Ben is the motivating force that inspires Peter Parker to take responsibility and use his powers for good," he explains.

Aquarius: Doctor Octopus, aka Doc Ock

Globe Photos/ZUMAPRESS.com

Alfred Molina as Doctor Octopus in "Spider-Man 2"

Doctor Octopus, a multi-armed maniacal menace who's regarded as one of Spider-Man's most infamous enemies, aligns with Aquarius. This zodiac sign shares many "genius" traits this villainous character embodies, says Thomas.

"Doc Ock certainly steps up to the plate as one of the most brilliant in the franchise," he notes. "Not only does he have a consistent drive for greater use of technology, but he's willing to transform himself into a robot."

Pisces: Gwen Stacy and MJ

Jamie Trueblood/olumbia Pictures/courtesy Everett; Marvel Studios

Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy in "The Amazing Spider-Man" and Zendaya as MJ in "Spider-Man: No Way Home"

Gwen Stacy and MJ, two of Peter Parker's love interests, respectively seen in The Amazing Spider-Man films and the Holland-led Spider-Man movies, align with Pisces. They are known to be "sweet, sensitive and charming," Thomas says.

"Peter has had many great loves despite the obstacles that come in between them," he points out, explaining, "This is why Stone's Gwen Stacy and Zendaya's MJ both embody this zodiac sign. They are the soulmate connections who got away."
