Little House on the Prairie star Melissa Gilbertshared rare date night photos with her husband, Timothy Busfield—and their time spent together was both "stunning" and surprisingly simple.
On Saturday, Nov. 1, the former child actress behind Laura Ingalls Wilder, now 61, took to Instagram with a trio of pictures.

"This is how we do a date day: Driving through stunning beauty to go get our favorite vegan food at @fogwoodandfig and then to see @blackphonemovie followed by grocery shopping," Gilbert captioned her update. "We are a wild pair @timbusfield and I!! #dateday #outwithmyfella #goingonadate #lovemylife #sullivancountycatskills."
In the featured image, Gilbert and Busfield smiled in a selfie with a magnificent nature backdrop featuring orange, yellow and red tree foliage.

Gilbert's followers flooded her with praise for her dreamy date in the comments, with one Instagram user writing, "Sounds perfect! ❤️."

The When Calls the Heart actress and Busfield married in 2013. Gilbert was previously married to director Bo Brinkman, with whom she welcomed a son, Dakota Brinkman, 36, and actor Bruce Boxleitner, with whom she shares a son, Michael Boxleitner, 30.

In April, Gilbert and Busfield celebrated their 12th anniversary, a milestone she marked with an Instagram tribute.
"12 years of true partnership, love, laughter, compassion, commitment, passion, laughter, cooking, kids, grandchildren, chickens, dogs, creating homes, films, plays, television," she began the post dedicated to her husband.
Gilbert continued, "12 years of writing together, traveling, cuddling, delicious meals, romantic getaways, spooning, reflecting, meditating, praying. 12 years of baseball, yoga, dance class. 12 years of adventure, comfort, care and synergy. 12 years married."
She concluded, "12 perfect years with my favorite person, who has my favorite face and my favorite soul. How lucky I am. I love you @timbusfield. Happy anniversary."
