Doug and Julie are considered to be soap's first supercouple and are the only soap characters to appear on Time magazine's cover. Enjoy their first wedding below.

1984: On One Life to Live, Dan (Steven Culp) was disappointed when Dorian (Robin Strasser) didn't invite him in for an after-dinner drink.

1985: On Ryan's Hope, John Sanderford debuted as Frank Ryan, a role he played for 4 years, and received a nomination for the 1986 Soap Opera Digest Outstanding Actor in a Supporting Role on a Daytime Serial award.
