A bride and groom aren't seeing eye to eye when it comes to their wedding bands.

The 27-year-old bride shared on Reddit's "Am I The A------" forum that she and her fiancé recently got into a fight about whether they were going to use his divorced parents' wedding rings or custom rings made by her jeweler friend for their nuptials.

The bride-to-be — who is very into crystals — said it all started when she brought up that they should go get the rings through her jeweler's friends. In response, her fiancé looked "very confused" and told her that they were going to use his parents' rings for the weddings "because they have been passed down from his great grandparents and it was tradition for the eldest child to marry using them."

"He had never expressed wanting to do this before, though I did know about the tradition, I just assumed he didn't want to participate," the woman shared.

"I told him I didn't want to use their rings since his parents got divorced and I believe that would bring bad karma into our marriage which I don't want," she explained. "It got very heated and he ended up saying that my dumb beliefs were the only thing ruining our soon to be marriage."

She said she went to her parents' house to "cool off," and got a couple of calls and unpleasant text messages from her fiancé's mother, who told her she "was ruining tradition " and that she "knew I wasn't right for her son from the start."

"Im super confused, upset, and now I'm second guessing my decisions," the bride-to-be wrote, before asking others for some input on the situation.

Several people commented that both the bride and groom-to-be made communication errors that led up to the fight — especially as they "made the decision of what rings to get without consulting the other," as one person put it.

Others suggested that the woman talk it over with her fiancé to smooth things out before the wedding. The bride ended up following the advice, as she shared in an update that she spoke with him and they made a decision on their next steps.

"I told him I think we both need some time to work on our relationship, because we both have issues we need to work through together or else we are not going to last, and so we should also postpone the wedding until we are ready," she said.

She said he agreed to couple's therapy and they even talked over "compromises" for their ring dilemma, with them landing on considering using his parents' rings and cleansing them and then adding something special to the rings to make it theirs.

"After our talk he said that he never took the time to understand my beliefs, but he wants to, which honestly is the sweetest thing ever," she shared.
