
Texans make blockbuster move to keep Derek Stingley in Houston, agreeing record extension
The Houston Texans have agreed a blockbuster deal to re-sign defensive back Derek Stingley Jr., according to multiple reports. The cornerback is set to stay in Houston after agreeing a mammoth three-year, $90million contract - $30m per year - with the Texans. The deal is said to include a huge $89m guaranteed and is set to make Stingley the NFL's new highest paid defensive back. Jaycee Horn had topped the list with his $25 million extension that was agreed to earlier this month but has almost immediately been knocked from his perch.
