A small plane with three people on board crashed into the top of a remote mountain in southern Vermont on Wednesday morning, authorities said. According to the Federal Aviation Administration, a Piper PA-28 crashed at around 3:50am near the 3,000 foot summit of Equinox Mountain, just west of Manchester. 'The snow helped cushion the fall,' Jamie Greene, the first assistant chief at the Manchester Fire Department, said at a press conference.
