A notorious drug lord who was depicted in the popular Netflix series Narcos: Mexico is among 29 cartel members extradited to the US as President Donald Trump cracks down on drug trafficking organizations. Rafael Caro Quintero is the founder of the Guadalajara cartel and was behind the 1985 murder of US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) agent Enrique Camarena Salazar. Played by Tenoch Huerta in the Narcos series, Caro Quintero was on the US Federal Bureau of Investigation's list of 10 most-wanted fugitives until his capture by Mexican authorities in 2022.
