Sam's Club has slashed the cost of its membership fee to $20, but only for a limited time. Walmart's membership-based wholesaler is offering new subscribers the chance to pay $20 for their first year rather than the usual $50 fee. The 60 percent reduction is only available to new members that sign up before December 24. It is a much cheaper offer than rival Costco, whose annual fee for standard membership is currently $65.
