A Utah dog owner has been left heartbroken after her pet was shot and killed moments after it ran away from her in a city with strict leashing laws. was walking her dog ruby in Roy's West Park when she lost control of the animal. The German Shepherd-mix bounded up to a man and his service dog who said Ruby was acting aggressively. Police said he yelled at Isturis-Gramly to get her dog, before firing a fatal shot at Ruby.
