A Maryland man raped a teenager aboard a cruise ship while she was celebrating the holidays with her family, and then asked her a deplorable question. Jalen Thomas Kelley, 22, of Abingdon, was found guilty of aggravated sexual abuse, sexual abuse and assault in connection with the incident onboard the Carnival Legend between January 1 and January 2, 2023, federal prosecutors announced last week. They had claimed Kelley met a 17-year-old onboard the cruise ship following a New Year's Eve party and took her back to his cabin when she needed to use the restroom.
