CNN contributor David Axelrod said 'racism and sexism' played a role in Kamala Harris' stunning defeat at the hands of Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election. Axelrod made these comments at around 3 am ET, so the race hadn't officially been called yet for Trump. But it was clear at that point that the momentum was in favor of the now-President-Elect, since he had already clinched the all-important states of Pennsylvania and Georgia.
