Christian Horner has been cleared of allegations of 'inappropriate behaviour' from a feminine worker and shall be staying on as Red Bull boss.

Horner, the longest serving Workforce Principal on the F1 grid, was being investigated by the F1 workforce's mum or dad firm Purple Bull GmbH after a female Red Bull employee accused him of 'inappropriate and controlling' behaviour.

But lower than 24 hours before the automobiles take to the monitor for the season-opening Bahrain Grand Prix, Purple Bull have confirmed grievances towards Horner 'have been dismissed'.

An official statement from the F1 group launched on Wednesday stated: 'The unbiased investigation into the allegations made towards Mr Horner is complete, and Purple Bull can affirm that the grievance has been dismissed. The complainant has a right of attraction.

'Purple Bull is assured that the investigation has been truthful, rigorous and impartial.

'The investigation report is confidential and accommodates the personal info of the events and third events who assisted in the investigation, and subsequently we won't be commenting further out of respect for all concerned.

'Pink Bull will continue striving to satisfy the very best office requirements.'

The 50-year-old – husband of former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell – had previously stated: 'I absolutely deny any accusations.'

A hearing into the allegations took place nearly three weeks ago with Purple Bull eager for the matter to be resolved ahead of this weekend's opening race.

Horner has served as Purple Bull's Group Principal since 2005.

The investigation and its fallout has forged a shadow over the build-up to the new Pink Bull campaign with one of the successful teams in F1 history chasing more glory.

Purple Bull gained 21 of a potential 22 grand prix races final season with Max Verstappen profitable 19 of to seal a hat-trick of world titles.

This week, Verstappen opted to not publicly back Horner.

Asked if he was 100 per cent behind Horner, Verstappen stated: 'Nicely, I'm trusting the method, that's what's occurring right now.

'I do not need to get into that. Because it's not my case anyway, and I don't need to be concerned with that.

'However as a staff, yeah, we do trust that course of and we simply need to be affected person, because there's no want to start out saying things, start screaming issues out loud. You must be patient. I feel I've discovered that through the years anyway.'
