On Wednesday, May 27, the couple marked one year of dating with celebratory posts on their respective Instagram accounts.

Siwa, 23, shared acarousel of photosof the couple as she gushed about their romance.

“The greatest gift I’ve ever received in life was 365 days ago🤍,” Siwa’s caption began. “What a beautiful year it’s been with you by my side. I wake up with more love every day, more gratitude every day, and a bigger smile on my face every day.”

Then making a nod to the pair’s long distance relationship, Siwa continued, “From every phone call, to every plane ride, to every memory made together in the last year, I’m grateful for every single one and when I look back, I just smile to myself peacefully feeling so complete. Happy one year to the one I love, my bestest friend. ❤️.”

The carousel featured snaps and clips from Siwa’s brother Jayden’s wedding earlier this year, the pair playing golf, on vacation and Hughes, 33, backstage at one of Siwa’s shows as they shared a sweet moment.

“hey that’s me ❤️,” wrote Hughes in the comments section, while the likes of Chrishell Stause and Hilaria Baldwin added love heart emojis.

Meanwhile, on his Instagram Stories, Hughes posted a black-and-white photo of the pair on vacation in a tropical location.

“Happy one year :),”’ Hughes wrote across the picture.

In the snap, a shirtless Hughes placed his arm around Siwa as she snuggled into his face.

The couple celebrating their first anniversary comes after Siwatold PEOPLElast month she was getting wedding "fever" ahead of their milestone after Jayden’s wedding in March.

"Of course, it gave me the wedding vibes," the “Karma” singer told PEOPLE, adding that it made her think about her future with Hughes. "I mean, obviously our relationship's very new. We're creeping up on our one-year anniversary. So we're getting there, but we've got time. And obviously, I think that marriage is, of course, in Chris' hands, and so when he feels the time is right, I'll be ready. Maybe. I'm just kidding."

Siwa and Hughes met while on season 24 ofCelebrity Big Brother UKin April 2025. While Hughes finished in sixth place, Siwa came in third behindRu Paul’s Drag Race UKstar Danny Beard and winner Jack P. Shepherd, who stars U.K. soapCoronation Street.

The pair publicly confirmed their relationship in June 2025 after growing speculation.

"It's been the best year ever, and it's only gonna go up from here," Siwa added to PEOPLE last month. "We don't have plans yet,” Siwa continued of how they were going to mark one year together. “Surely we'll celebrate somehow. Hopefully, we get to be together. And if not, we'll celebrate while we're apart."

“He's my person," Siwa added.

NAIROBI, May 28 (Reuters) - A fire tore through a dormitory ‌at a girls' school in a town in ‌Kenya's Rift Valley overnight, killing at least 15 students, police said on ​Thursday.

An unknown number of students were also injured at Utumishi Girls' Academy Senior School in Gilgil in Nakuru County, the Gilgil Police Station said in a report seen ‌by Reuters. The cause ⁠of the fire was not known, it said.

Footage aired by Citizen Television showed broken ⁠window panes and smoke-stained walls.

Kenya has a long history of school fires, with more than 60 cases of arson ​in public ​secondary schools recorded in 2018 ​alone, according to government ‌data. Many of the fires have been set by students protesting harsh discipline and poor conditions, researchers have found.

Masoud Mwinyi, a senior police commander, told reporters at the school that 50 officers were combing areas around the ‌school for students who may ​have fled when the fire broke ​out.

"Of that shock ​and fear and anxiety, many people went out, ‌and it was at night," ​he said.

In ​2024, a fire killed 21 students at a primary boarding school in nearby Nyeri County. The cause ​of that fire ‌has not been conclusively established.

Mississippi's judicial system has amoney problem.

Judges, lawyers andSupreme Courtjustices met withMississippi House committeemembers on May 26, most asking for cash infusions next legislative session to continue their operations. The Administrative Office of Courts is "getting close," said director Katharine Surkin, to running out of money to pay its employees.

Mississippi's judges, from the county level to the Supreme Court, receive a minimum amount of money from the state's general fund each year. That amount is dictated by a Mississippi statute that hasn't changed since it was enacted, Surkin told the legislators.

But judges make more than the statutory minimum outlined in the law. That's where the Judicial Systems Operation Fund comes in, Surkin said, to make up the different between the state's general fund payment and the amount that judges are required to make by law.

Including fringe benefits, Surkin said, the special fund pays for more than half of all judges' salaries. That percentage will likely increase next year when judges will receive an average raise of around $13,000 thanks to a Mississippi Senate bill.

The special fund allotted solely for the Office of Courts isn't enough to keep up with rising judge salaries, Surkin said, and she requested for the legislators to consider raising the amount of general funds directed toward judicial payments. Some of the representatives in the hearing, including committee chair Rep. Angela Cockerham, I-Magnolia, seemed reluctant to commit more money from the state's pot given the special fund.

"There have been instances of agencies wanting to go all the way back to special funds … then changing their minds and wanting to go back to a special fund," Cockerham said. "I've always had a bit of heartburn in increasing the general funds for a particular source if there is a special fund available."

The special fund had been helpful, Surkin said, but there isn't enough money coming in. Counties are supposed to collect case filing fees, which she noted have not been increased since 2008, and direct them to the Department of Finance and Administration, which routes it to the Administrative Office of Courts.

There is some money unaccounted for, Surkin said. In 2024, for example, the office should have collected around $4.7 million in filing fees for the fund, but it ended up with around $4.2 million instead. She estimated that around $1.5 million has not been accounted for in the last three years alone. However, because each county has its own method of sending in money and the Office of Courts doesn't have a way to track it, she said she couldn't identify which counties were underpaying the fund.

The Legislature could take a few courses of action. It could, as Surkin requested, increase its general fund contribution to the fund, which would be difficult in a slim state budget that seems to be getting slimmer. Lawmakers could also increase case filing fees, which has been debated in both chambers in recent years.

Without an increase in funds, Surkin warned, regardless of their source, the department was on the precipice of not being able to catch up with the judicial pay raises coming out of the Legislature.

Brad Keselowski could tell that Kyle Busch was unwell before the NASCAR legend tragically passed away, and was never able to bury the hatchet with his former rival.

Buschdied at 41 on Thursday, after suffering from a severe case of pneumonia that rapidly progressed into sepsis. Busch was scheduled to race in the Coca-Cola 600 in Charlotte, but the Cup Series event ended up being centered on tributes to the NASCAR icon. Keselowski and Busch shared a heated rivalry over several decades, and they were famously not friends despite mutual respect. Keselowski hoped to one day move past the racing battles, but Busch sadly passed after dealing with illness.

Keselowski revealed that he flew to Dover Motor Speedway with Busch last week, but admitted that the late NASCAR driver wasn't himself. "I was flying to Dover last week with Kyle," Keselowski said. "It was probably more by chance than anything else. Kyle is normally a fairly gregarious person, very outgoing - and he wasn't. He sat down one row behind me and next to me and fell asleep right away and I could tell he wasn't feeling well. "I didn't really think that much of it, to be honest. And that was pretty much the last time I saw him. We were in a race and you get in a race and you don't really see each other. So I saw him on the racetrack." It comes afterBusch's wife made a major confession about their marriage after counseling.

Keselowski also revealed toPeoplehe had "visions" about being with Busch later in his career. Keselowski wondered what it would be like once they were both in the NASCAR Hall of Fame and attending events together, and assumed their rivalry would be a thing of the past.

"I guess I had visions before his death of... actually, I thought about this multiple times: What's it going to be like when we're both in the Hall of Fame, and we're doing some kind of ceremony together, whatever that might be? Will the hatchet be buried? I think so," he added.

"And will we actually be able to share a laugh about it? I guess in my mind, I hope so, and now obviously not. The hard part is the closure was supposed to be when we were retired and when we were done racing together, and I don't think that's just for me, by the way.

"I think that's for a lot of people. And to not get that is tough. The loss of Kyle Busch is much greater than how it affects me, and so I don't wish to belittle that."

Keselowski has 70 total NASCAR wins, including 36 in the Cup Series. Busch has 234 victories across NASCAR, with 63 Cup Series victories (9th all-time).
