Watch: Epstein victims demand release of remaining files in Super Bowl advert

The Telegraph

A group of Jeffrey Epstein's victims released an advert on Super Bowl Sunday demanding the release of millions ofremaining documentsrelated to the late paedophile.

In the clip, which aired just ahead of America's most-watched TV event of the year, eight women called on the public to help press the Trump administration for full transparency.

"After years of being kept apart we're standing together," the women said, while holding photos of their younger selves at the ages they were abused by Epstein. In unison, they added: "Because we all deserve the truth."

Earlier this week, Mr Trump – whose second term has been marred by his one-time friendship with Epstein – told Americans it was time to"move on" from the sex offender.

The video's timing may cause a stir, as it was released right before Mr Trump, along with millions of others, tuned-in towatch the Seattle Seahawks battle the New England Patriotsin the championship of the National Football League (NFL).

On January 30, the US Department of Justice (DoJ) released three million pages related to theirinvestigation into Epstein, including 2,000 videos and 180,000 images, under the Epstein Files Transparency Act.

Faces have been redacted to protect women and girls in the files

However, the DoJ's decision to hold back the other half of the approximate six million files has renewed concerns that some of Epstein's accomplices will not be held accountable and sparked further allegations over a cover-up.

Epstein's victims are leading the calls for the release of the remaining records. Their video ended with a call for the public to "stand with us" and "tell Attorney General Pam Bondi it's time for the truth".

The DoJ insists that the withheld files either reveal victims' identities, contain child pornography or interfere with ongoing federal investigations.

"We didn't protect or not protect anybody," Todd Blanche, the deputy attorney general, said as he announced that the department had "completed" its release of the files.

There are more than 38,000 references to Mr Trump, his wife and his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida across 5,300 of the newly released files.

Epstein died in his New York jail cell in 2019 while awaiting trial for sex trafficking charges in a death ruled a suicide.

His longtime associateGhislaine Maxwellwas jailed in 2022 and is serving a 20-year prison for her role in helping him recruit underage victims.

Members of Congress will be able to review the un-redacted files on computers at the justice department starting on Monday, according to a letter obtained by NBC News.

Trump: Half-time show 'absolutely terrible'

The sporting spectacle's half-time show was performed by Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny completely in Spanish, despite fury from inside Maga at both his selection and refusal to bow to their demands to sing in English.

Despite the furore, the rapper wrapped his performance without controversy.

The Latino artist, who has been vocal in his opposition to the Trump administration's mass deportation campaign, instead emphasised unity in a dance-filled spectacle that featured Lady Gaga as a surprise guest.

He finished the show by holding up a football that said: "Together we are America".

As fireworks exploded around the stadium, a Jumbotron message read: "The only thing more powerful than hate is love."

The rapper's performance ended with a message of unity

The show also featured a young boy hugging Bad Bunny's Grammy Award, which he won three of last week.

The child's involvement is believed to bea reference to five-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos, whose detainment by Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in Minnesota sparked a national outcry.

After the show, Mr Trump took to Truth Social to criticise the performance, calling it "absolutely terrible".

Super Bowl 60 betting, odds: Five interesting prop bets that cashed

Super Bowl 60 betting, odds: Five interesting prop bets that cashed

The Seattle Seahawksrouted the New England Patriots 29-13 in Super Bowl 60, easily covering the 4.5-point spread. The Seahawks were up 9-0 at halftime and never trailed. The game stayed under the total of 45.5, although it was threatened late.

Oddsmakers were rooting for a boring, low-scoring game and that's pretty much what they got, as many a same-game parlay came up short without Jaxson Smith-Njigba or Kenneth Walker III finding the end zone.

There were thousands of ways to bet on the big game, but here are five interesting prop bets that cashed:

Kenneth Walker III wins Super Bowl LX MVP (+550)

Walker carried the load for the Seahawks, racking up 135 yards on 27 carries, and 20 yards receiving. He was Seattle's most consistent weapon on a night where start WR Jaxson Smith-Njigba had only four catches for 27 yards, even though Walker III didn't find the end zone.

Walker had the third-most wagers and total dollars wagered at BetMGM to win the award, but wasn't among the top five liabilities because of the short price.

Walker is the first running back to win a Super Bowl MVP since Denver Broncos RB Terrell Davis back in Super Bowl XXXII.

Kenneth Walker III over 70.5 rushing yards

Walker's rushing yardage prop was pounded by both sharp bettors early and public bettors as the days leading up to the Super Bowl went on. It opened at 78.5 at BetMGM and was bet down to 70.5 by kickoff, as 63% of bets and 77% of the total dollars wagered were on the under.

Walker went over that total in the second quarter, on his way to 135 yards rushing and the game's MVP.

Total punts over 7.5

Not a bet that was too high on the public's radar, but this one also cashed early on the way to a ridiclous15punts in the game. Seahawks punter Michael Dickson had a few beauties among his seven punts, downing three inside the 20-yard line. Patriots punter Bryce Baringer went over this number himself, punting eight times as a result of five New England three-and-outs (although Baringer didn't punt in the fourth quarter).

Mack Hollins over 25.5 receiving yards

This was a prop that moved significantly from an opening number of 30.5 receiving yards, all the way down to 25.5 off of sharp action at a few sportsbooks. Still, there was far more public money on the over, as 90% of bets nad 95% of the total dollars wagered were on the over.

Hollins ended up as New England's leading receiver, catching four passes for 78 yards and easily eclipsed this number.

Hunter Henry -6.5 receiving yards vs. Anthony Edwards points

Cross-sport props are always fun in the Super Bowl, and due to Edwards' subpar game with 23 points in 115-96 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday afternoon, Henry just needed 30 receiving yards to win this prop.

Henry finished with 31 receiving yards on three catches to eke out the cash.

NEED TO KNOW

  • Team USA won a gold medal at the figure skating team event at the 2026 Winter Olympics on Feb. 8

  • Ilia Malinin, Alysa Liu, Amber Glenn, Madison Chock, Evan Bates, Ellie Kam and Danny O'Shea all contributed to the win

  • The medal comes after Team USA's gold medal in the same event in 2022, which was marred by scandal

Gold looks good on Team USA!

The American figure skaters jumped, spun and backflipped their way to a gold medal in the figure skating team event at the2026 Winter Olympicson Sunday, Feb. 8 at the Milano Ice Skating Arena.

It was a group effort forIlia Malinin,Alysa Liu, Amber Glenn, Madison Chock, Evan Bates, Ellie Kam and Danny O'Shea, who all contributed to Team USA's winning score of 68 via four events: ice dance, pair skating, women single skating and men single skating.

Team USA previously won the same event at Beijing in 2022 — but only after a scandal involving Russian skater Kamila Valieva, who tested positive during the Games for a banned substance. After a lengthy investigation, her team's first-place finish was downgraded, and the U.S.'s second-place finish was bumped up to first. They eventually received their gold medals in Paris in 2024.

On the first of the two-night final, Chock, 33, and Bates, 36, kicked things off with a bang, notching the top spot on the ice dance leaderboard with 133.23 points.

Kam, 21, and O'Shea, 34, kept things moving the next night, earning a seventh-place finish (and seven team points) with 135.36. The two were overcome with emotion following their performance, with O'Shea yelling out with joy and Kam fighting tears.

Glenn, 26, was next, scoring 138.62, enough to earn her a third-place finish and eight team points. The athlete was visibly disappointed as she sat amongst her teammates and heard her score read aloud.

"I feel guilty. My team has done so well and my performance was lackluster," she told reporters, including PEOPLE, after her skate. "I scored lower than my median in what they were counting on, and I placed lower than what would have been expected... I made a few too many mistakes."

All eyes were on Malinin, 21, known by fans as the "Quad God," heading into the men single skating round, as the U.S. and Japan were tied with 59 total team points each.

Though he stumbled toward the end of his routine, Mailin ultimately clinched the win for Team USA with help from his signature backflip, scoring 200.03.

"It's honestly just such an incredible, like raw feeling in this environment," he told reporters, including PEOPLE, after his qualifiers event on Feb. 7. "Once I do that backflip, everyone's like, screaming for joy and they're just out of control."

Liu — who came out of retirement in 2024 — contributed, too, notching a second-place finish in the women single skating qualifier.

The medal marked the second of the Games for the U.S., following skierBreezy Johnson's first-place finishin women's downhill.

"We are always excited to take [to the] Olympic ice," Chock said after her and Bates' ice dance free dance on Feb. 7. "We knew what we had to do when we stepped on the ice and were prepared to do it."

O'Shea, meanwhile joked at a press conference that his strategy heading onto the ice was simply "to skate well."

While many viewers praised the show as energetic, othersslammedit as confusing and inappropriate for an American audience.

He performed a string of hits, includingEoo,Yo Perreo Sola,MONACO, andNUEVAYoL.

He then brought out his iconicLa Casitasetfrom his Puerto Rican residency last year and invited a slew of celebrities including Jessica Alba, Pedro Pascal, Alix Earle, Young Miko, Karol G, and Cardi B to join.

One of the most-talked-about moments occurred when a couple appeared to get married onstage during the show. The scene quickly transitioned into a dance-filled reception as Lady Gaga made a surprise cameo, singing a Latin-inspired version of her song,D*e With a Smile, before dancing with Bunny.

Later, Ricky Martin joined him for a surprise appearance, bringing another Latin icon onto the stage. The performance ended withDtMFand a message on the stadium screens.

"The only thing more powerful than hate is love," read the message.

Toward the end, Bunny held a football that displayed the words, "God bless America," before naming countries across North, Central, and South America.

Despite the power-packed performance, Bunny received criticism regarding the fact that the show was almost entirely in Spanish.

Much of the backlash centered on his performance being entirely in Spanish, as some viewers claimed they felt disconnected.

"Am I the only one who thinks this Super Bowl is boring as hell and the halftime show sucks? I don't understand a word Bad Bunny is saying," one wrote.

"The only thing I understood from the halftime show is when the Bad Bunny guy said, 'Burrito!'" said another.

"That was the worst halftime show ever. Bad decision," added a third.

Others framed their backlash around nationalism.

"Bad Bunny halftime show is disgraceful to Americans," said one, while another added, "Just for your info, I turned off my TV during your woke BS halftime performance."

"Bad Bunny getting booed at a football game is the most bipartisan moment of 2026," one more chimed in.

Furthermore, reports circulated online claiming that several viewers inside the stadium booed the performance, further fueling the narrative that the show had flopped.

Despite criticism, defenders stepped in praising the cultural impact and called Bad Bunny's performance "phenomenal"

While criticism was loud, many viewers pushed back, arguing the show's Latin focus was exactly what made it special.

"I will never shut up about how great an artist and human being Bad Bunny is," one fan wrote.

"I've seen all 60 Super Bowls and Bad Bunny's halftime extravaganza was, by far, the best," said another.

"Bad Bunny has been the best halftime show in a long time," one more wrote, while a fourth shared, "You all are living in an alternate universe—it was phenomenal, cry harder!"

Another set of supporters maintained that the performance's cultural roots were the entire point.

"I was on my feet dancing! I love Puerto Rican music," said one, while another wrote, "The only people complaining are bland and don't come from any culture."

"I don't speak Spanish, but he's clearly very talented. The production was amazing."

Bad Bunny's selection for the 2026 Super Bowl was tied to a major NFL strategy

The NFL picked Bunny for its halftime Super Bowl performance because of its partnership with Roc Nation, led by Jay-Z, which has handled halftime show production since 2019.

The league has used the partnership to attract younger, more diverse audiences after years of controversy surrounding social justice protests.

From a music standpoint, Bunny is one of the world's biggest stars, with multiple Grammy wins, record-breaking tours, and a global fan base.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell previously explained the philosophy behind the selections, adding, "I don't want to pick the music that I listen to, because none of you would come to the halftime show."

Still, the choice was politically charged, as Bunny has openly criticized U.S. immigration policies.

Moreover, his recent statement at the 2026 Grammys also fueled the debate.

"Before I say thanks to God, I'm going to say ICE out… We are humans, and we are Americans," he had stated.

Besides Bad Bunny, past halftime acts have included a wide range of top artists like Shakira, Jennifer Lopez, Eminem, Rihanna, Kendrick Lamar, Dr. Dre, Mary J. Blige, and Snoop Dogg.
