About Our Ads Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement Battle Ground Academy (TN) senior quarterback Bo Bryan announced his commitment to Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldog on Oct. 25, putting a bookend on the 3-star's recruitment.
A lifelong Bulldogs fan just like his dad, country music star Luke Bryan , Bo will get the opportunity of a lifetime as he gets the chance to play for his childhood team.
Always proud of his oldest son, Luke Bryan didn't need another reason to be proud of his son but between the success he found during his senior year and the commitment to Georgia , he'd be lying if he said it didn't raise things up a notch.
"I made it in country music somehow and my dad walked up to me and said, 'Son, I'm proud of you'," Luke told former Georgia linebacker David Pollack on Pollack's weekly YouTube show 'See Ball Get Ball." "The fact that I can walk up to Bo and go, 'Son, I'm proud of you for doing something that you set your sights on and you earned it.' It's pretty amazing to be able to do that to your 18-year-old. To watch his determination and his mental focus through all of this, it's been an amazing process."
Bo had been at the Franklin, Tennessee, private school since he was in elementary school and after three years as the varsity football team's backup quarterback, he finally got his shot to shine during his senior season.
In his only year as a starter with the program, Bo was statistically one of the best quarterbacks in the state, completing 74% of his passes for 2,006 yards and 30 touchdowns to just three interceptions.
