Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Missouri fans and fans across the country.
Entering their bye week, the Missouri Tigers are currently 5-2 (2-2 SEC) on the season. Coming off a rough 31-3 loss on the road to Ole Miss on Saturday, Mizzou dropped nine spots to No. 22 in the latest AP Top 25 poll.
With five games remaining in the regular season, a College Football Playoff appearance looks rather unlikely for Eli Drinkwitz's club at this point.
Still though, despite the lackluster performance in Oxford — an overall record of 5-2 is not the worst-case scenario for this Mizzou team.
Missouri won the Border War rivalry in Lawrence, have a Homecoming win against a ranked Florida team, and finally got the Texas A&M monkey off their back. It's not all bad. However, road losses to Mississippi State and Ole Miss have them on the outside-looking in on a CFP berth.
Remember, not much was expected out of this team as Missouri's preseason over/under win total was set at 6.5 per FanDuel. The current odds are now at 7.5 .
