A prominent doctor tried to murder his nuclear engineer wife by shoving her off a trail in Hawaii and hitting her in the head with a rock, according to police. Gerhardt Konig, 46, was arrested on Monday after he allegedly attacked his 36-year-old wife, Arielle Konig, at the Pali Lookout in Oahu, leaving her in critical condition. Arielle reportedly told officials Konig had assaulted her with closed fists and a rock before he tried to shove her off the hiking trail.
