Christian Horner has spoken out for the first time since Red Bull cleared him of allegations of 'inappropriate behaviour'.

The Method 1 staff principal had been underneath investigation for several weeks after a female worker of Pink Bull accused him of 'inappropriate and controlling behaviour'.

On Wednesday, the reigning F1 champions confirmed that 'the grievance has been dismissed' after a 'truthful, rigorous and impartial investigation'.

Horner, husband of former Spice Woman Geri Halliwell, had beforehand stated he 'absolutely denies any accusations' and claimed he had the help of his group.

The matter has overshadowed the start of the new season which gets underway this weekend in Bahrain, with Horner arriving on the Sakhir circuit late on Wednesday night time.

Nevertheless, despite requires the investigation to be 'clear', Pink Bull's statement added: 'The investigation report is confidential and incorporates the personal info of the parties and third parties who assisted in the investigation, and subsequently we won't be commenting additional out of respect for all involved.'

As such, Horner was coy to talk out on Thursday when queried concerning the matter, but maintained that his staff have been extra unified and stronger than ever.

'I'm just happy that the method is over. I clearly can't remark about it,' the 50-year-old informed Sky Sports

'The main target could be very much now on the grand prix and the season forward and making an attempt to defend both of our titles.

'I can't offer you any additional remark. The process has been carried out and concluded.

Follow for the Bahrain Grand Prix gets underway on Thursday ahead of the race on Saturday, with Pink Bull's Max Verstappen the large favorite to win.
