Everyone knows you can count on Aldi for quality groceries and household essentials at an affordable price — but did you know you can also count on the beloved discount retailer for surprisingly funny memes?

Between sharing fan reviews, grocery hauls, special arrivals and promotions, Aldi tends to sneak a few funny posts into their highly active Facebook page. And in light of the recent Coldplay concert Astronomer's CEO blunder, the German-owned grocer just dropped what might be one of their most clever ads yet.

Kiss Ass? Sorry but I don't get going over to the Redskins subreddit and trying to act like some kindred spirit. My vote is for excommunication from the 12 man team. Thoughts? by in Seahawks

"The Aldi lights will guide you home," Aldi titled their now viral post, depicting the alleged CEO and HR employee dancing to Coldplay and realizing they're being broadcast on the jumbo tron.

In the meme, the image on the left shows CEO Andy Bryon and Head of HR Kristin Cabot arm in arm, labeled "other grocers" and "the membership fees they told you not to worry about." On the right, the couple ducks out of frame while their friend looks on in shock and laughter — a moment Aldi cleverly captions with "us over here with the lowest prices."

From in-house brands to name-brand favorites, Aldi somehow balances a selection full of reliable staples and cult favorites with price tags that don't make us second-guess tossing them in the cart. There are no membership fees, there's a constant rotation of new and returning finds and it's nearly impossible to leave without snagging a deal or two alongside the essentials.

All that is to say: Aldi's friendly jab at the competition proves that internet clout tokens aren't just reserved for those chasing celebrity status — and Aldi just stocked up.

"I freaking love Aldi's social media team. They have zero chill," one shopper shared on Reddit. "Aldi's social media worker deserves a raise and a promotion," another added.

In response to the original Facebook post, fans applauded the brand for its "good marketing strategy" and willingness to always keep it real. We already know Aldi has no problem persevering through tough times and 100-year storms — as they showed earlier this month when their Asheville location reopened after being shuttered due to Hurricane Helene. In our opinion, that's as real as it gets.

Let's hope whoever's behind these laughs gets the recognition they deserve — we love it when our favorite brands aren't afraid to crack a joke or two, and it's even better when it's Aldi doing it.
