<p>This week, two out of three recalls to pay attention to aren't caused by foodborne pathogens. Both the chicken sausage and the yogurt below may contain fragments of plastic that pose a dangerous choking hazard.</p>

<p>20,000+ Pounds of Chicken Sausage Recalled for Plastic Contamination</p>
<p>On July 17, Kayem Foods Inc. recalled approximately 24,173 pounds of ready-to-eat chicken sausage products sold at major grocers, including Walmart stores in 27 states.</p>
<p>The company notified the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) that it had received three consumer complaints about finding pieces of plastic in its Al Fresco Sweet Apple Chicken Sausage product.</p>
<p>As of July 18, no one has reportedly been injured after eating the contaminated product. However, the FSIS is concerned that the product could still be in your fridge or freezer.</p>

<p>YoCrunch Yogurt Recalled Nationwide for Containing Sharp Plastic Fragments</p>
<p>On July 11, Danone U.S., the company behind several beloved yogurt brands, issued a recall for all of its YoCrunch yogurt products. The decision came after customers reportedly discovered pieces of plastic in the toppers, which include mix-ins like Oreos and M&M's.</p>
<p>The plastic pieces are clear, can be as large as one inch in length, and may have sharp edges. The fragments can be a serious choking hazard, especially for young children. No variety or size of YoCrunch yogurt is considered safe to eat, the company said.</p>
<p>The list of recalled YoCrunch flavors includes:</p>

<p>Pistachio Cream Sold at World Market Recalled for Salmonella</p>
<p>On July 14, World Market announced a recall of 9.7-ounce jars of Emek Spread Pistachio Cacao Cream with Kadayif after the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) tested samples of the product and identified traces of salmonella. The recall affects products sold at World Market locations in 32 states.</p>
<p>Salmonella is a foodborne illness that occurs anywhere from six hours to six days after eating a contaminated item, according to the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention. Symptoms such as severe stomach cramps, watery diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting can last anywhere between four and seven days. If you're experiencing any of these symptoms and have eaten pistachio cream, head to the doctor.</p>
<p>The product was distributed between June 11 and July 9, 2025, in clear glass jars with the date code etched on the lid. Here's how to tell if you purchased the recalled pistachio cream:</p>
